Linux in Hotels
Like a stuntman, Linux playing important role in some major city’s life. Without them, some activity in major city like Dublin, London or Paris can be delayed or in some case stopped. Imagine you are administrator in a Paris Hotels. You had about 300 until 1000 transaction every day. Transaction means check-in, check-out, billing account related with room services, telephone billing, etc. Do you imagine if your system crash because of operating system cannot handle all of this? What explanation do you give to your boss? It’s difficult, right?
So, many major hotels choose Linux as their server. Linux is cheap and reliable. Even free, but Linux is not absolutly free. It cost your time to learn and explore what you need. Many hotels has using Linux as their server like Dublin Hotels or Barcelona Hotels. Lot of good experience they get from Linux. They get it with free of license charge every year, even lifetime. It sound interesting? Don’t you believe? Go to Spain, go to one of Barcelona Hotels, and ask them for it. But don’t ask what desktop operating system they used, it must be Windows.
